Yosemite

Hey everyone. It has been almost 2 years since I last posted. My last blog was about when I was going into 6th grade and now I am going into 8th. I can't even believe how fast time flies! Today I want to share with you all a poem I wrote about a famous painting of Yosemite Valley. Our family went to Yosemite back in June and experienced nature at its best.

Just Beyond That Canyon
Inspired by the painting Looking Down Yosemite Valley, CA 1865 - Albert Bierstadt

Nature,
Withering all around,
Wildlife,
Nowhere to be found,
As the preserve falls down,
And the factories rise,
We tilt our heads up,
From the past, that haunts us,
There is a light,
That gleams,
Just beyond that canyon,
Hope,
Warming up to our hearts,
Hope,
Drags me over there, Shimmers quite blindingly,
Could the animals survive?
Could the flowers blossom?
Could nature be reborn?
Could the factories dissipate?
Just beyond that canyon.

Stay tuned for more!
